Introducing Imperfectly Poised
At the time of publishing this blog, I am running a business with a few employees. While the business is still keeping me busy despite the challenges COVID 19 has brought, I have wanted to write a blog about running a business and some lifestyle stuff for a long time.
So, after years of toying with the idea, I have finally plucked up the courage to do it. Right in the middle of COVID -19!!!! Don’t ask me why I want to add another project to an already full plate, but this is what I do…
I have published over 160 blogs for my business and host a podcast. However, these platforms are not the place for me to write about what it really takes to run a business and raise a family, all whilst being quite insecure. Ok, that’s a lie. I'm very insecure.
I don’t share the last part on my other business channels because my clients want to hire someone with everything figured out. Even though I repeatedly tell my clients that I’m not superhuman and make mistakes like everyone else, they choose to ignore this and like to think I’m Wonderwoman, so I have given up trying to dispel this myth.
So, welcome to another little corner of the internet, I have carved out for myself called Imperfectly Poised.
Here I know you will see me for me. Imperfectly poised. Like you, I may appear to have everything just so, but I am juggling, balancing, dropping things and having the same for-fuck-sake moments which happen when running a business and raising a family.
Does the world need another blog? Yeah ……. why not!
At Imperfectly Poised, I’m not positioning myself as the expert, but hopefully, you will like this and choose to tune in, because you may:
Relate to my misgivings
Learn from my mistakes
Be inspired to make leaps and jumps even when you are scared
A bit about me:
I have 3 children currently aged 8, 10 and 12
I have been with my husband for 20 years
I have been running my business for 5 years
I like to exercise and have a few ultra-marathons under my belt
Welcome to Imperfectly Poised!
